Visa to Provide Debit Cards for Goldman Sachs’s Marcus (1)

Visa Inc. said it won a deal to serve as the network for debit cards offered by Goldman Sachs Group Inc.’s online retail bank, Marcus.

Visa Chief Executive Officer <-bsp-person state="{"_id":"00000175-75e3-d8cc-ab75-75eb58b90000","_type":"00000160-6f41-dae1-adf0-6ff519590003"}">Al Kelly announced the agreement Wednesday on a conference call with analysts after the card network released quarterly earnings.

Goldman’s Marcus unit has been adding to its retail-banking products, including a credit card last year. The Wall Street firm is trying to build a Main Street presence largely from scratch, hoping it will fuel revenue growth.
